We impound the number until it's proven.
We value the car — and the culture that made it matter.
Parclines is forensic valuation intelligence for collector vehicles. We trace the market, provenance, and confidence lines behind a car — and we don't trust a value until the evidence does.
Parc fermé.
Literally “closed park” — one of motorsport's most sacred institutions, a quiet, roped-off patch of asphalt where the roar of competition gives way to the hush of scrutiny. It was born in the earliest days of grand prix racing, when organizers needed a way to guarantee that the car crossing the line on Sunday was, mechanically, the same beast that had thundered through qualifying on Saturday. It is the sport's guardian of fairness.
Step inside — though almost no one may — and you find machines still ticking with heat, brake discs glowing amber in the dusk, tyres blistered and blue-marbled from a race distance's punishment. Mechanics stand at the perimeter, hands behind their backs, forbidden from so much as brushing a fly off a sidepod. Only the appointed scrutineers, clipboards in hand, may approach. They probe the fuel cells, weigh the chassis, seal the engines, and measure ride heights and plank wear — sometimes stripping gearboxes deep into the night — to confirm that every millimetre and milligram complies.
In the vintage era — Monza in 1955, Le Mans in 1967, Monaco in 1972 — parc fermé had a particular romance. Alfettas and Maseratis, Ford GT40s and Porsche 917s were pushed by hand into a walled enclosure often little more than a chalked rectangle beside the pit lane. Photographers leaned over the ropes to catch oil-streaked bodywork and drivers wiping their brows. It was as much a paddock chapel as a technical checkpoint — a place where reputations were sealed, or occasionally shattered, when a scrutineer's finding turned a victory into a disqualification hours after the champagne had dried.
Today the ritual endures — FIA seals, telemetry downloads, cameras that never blink — yet the spirit is unchanged. Parc fermé is where the sport pauses to remind itself that a race isn't truly won until the car has been measured, weighed, and found honest. It is motorsport's confessional: silent, meticulous, and utterly final. That is Parclines, in its essence — the old craft of collector-car valuation, kept honest and brought current with technology and forensic evidence. Old data, new scrutiny; the same verdict a race earns before it counts.
The standard is forensic.
The exact car
We value the specific trim, engine, year, and spec — never a model line blended into one average. Granularity is the point, not a shortcut.
Evidence over opinion
Sold comps, condition positioning, and forensic markers — not a gut number. If the evidence isn't there, we say so instead of guessing.
We show our work
Every value carries its range, our confidence in it, and the date it's based on. No black box, no “trust us.”
Cost is not value
In the Vault, what you spent stays honestly separate from what it's worth. Receipts prove scope, never quality.
We never hold your assets
Parclines is read-only — an intelligence layer, not a custodian. We never take your car, your keys, or your crypto.
The effect, not the verdict
We report how something moves value; we never tell you a car or an upgrade is “worth it.” Beauty is in the eye of the beholder — the call is yours.
The market sets a price. It never sets the worth.
Parclines is forensic about the number — because a defensible value protects you. But we have never believed the number is the whole story. A car's place in a life, a family, a movement, a Saturday morning — that worth is real, and no market line diminishes it. We measure what a car will trade for; we never mistake that for everything a car is worth.
Culture is value
The love of these machines built every market we measure. Enthusiasm, craft, community, and memory aren't sentiment to be netted out of a number — they're the reason the value exists at all.
Valued in many ways
A car can be worth a fortune, or worth little on paper and everything to the person who kept it. A concours trophy, a first car saved from the crusher, a hand-built tribute — each is a legitimate kind of worth. We report the market line; we never rank the reasons people love a car.
A place for all
Blue-chip or barn-find, six figures or a lifetime of Saturdays — every enthusiast belongs here. The tools serve the collector and the tinkerer alike, because the community is the asset we protect first.
Every number goes through inspection.
A Parclines value is built from evidence and put through scrutiny — cultural classification, comparable-sales analysis, and fraud/forensic markers, over a per-trim catalog no price guide keeps. The range, the confidence and the as-of date travel with every number, and nothing is taken on trust. The pattern-finding runs at a scale a human can't — yes, that engine uses AI — but it is held to a forensic standard, and we don't hide the machine. Enterprise members get a 24/7 concierge on top of it.
